Shown at the Design Museum London 2019
Cosmic Capsule was an immersive installation that invites audiences to delve into the connection of the cosmos. Developed with the designers in residence at the Design Museum for London Design Festival.
I was invited by the museum to develop the installation and create my own audio work alongside their residence. The installation took visitors on a journey that explored the miracle of childbirth, the possibilities of our food systems, the creation of wonder materials and the otherworldly landscape of Chile’s Atacama Desert.
The process of developing the soundscape involved salt cracklings recorded in Chile, bubbling fat from a local chicken shop and travelling with the residence across the U.K to capture audio that would convey the meaning behind their investigations.
